The week has drawn to a close. Finally.

Working has been so difficult since I had my daughter. Every second spent working I feel is time I’ve lost with her. I’d give anything to be home with her. But, that’s just feasible for my husband and I.

Of course, with the cost of daycare what it is I’m not sure it’s really worth it.

I applaud the strength and constitution of working mothers. This experience has opened my eyes and helped me see my mother in a new light as well. I have a better appreciation for all that she did for my brother and I. How hard she worked to ensure we never went without.

As human as she is, my mother has always pushed through. No matter how dark the tunnel before her, she has pushed through, and made sure we were still standing when we made it to the otherside.

I’d like to take this moment to thank all of the mothers out there who stuck it out. You are what the future is built on.

Thank you for reading!

Love,

Lauren
