The water rocked back and forth at her feet.  Tears left salt tracks down her dirt stained cheek before mingling with the sea.  She walked slowly, deeper into the dark blue.  Morning her love, morning her children.  The weight of all she’d done on her shoulders.  She walked, till she was nothing more than a blur of white fabric beneath the waves.

Author’s Note:

I find it interesting how different cultures have similar urban legends. The woman in white being one of the more disturbing tales to me.
