Drowning again.

Just caught my breath,

before talons shoved me under.

White haze clouds my vision.

Water burning in my lungs.

Embracing the pain in my chest,

Sinking into the deep greens and blues.

Comforted by the cold embrace.

Eyes open.

Stinging from the silt.

Breathing deeply.

Even as my body protests.

Here again.

Drowning again.

Why should I fight,

when every path leads me here to your door?
