Her home is in the trees.
Barefoot and wild,
she runs with the breeze.
Nature’s child.

Hair cascades in rivers,
The ends curving down her back.
Kissing her hips like lovers.
Shining a silken black.

In this long forgotten wilderness,
she lays intertwined with the earth.
Enveloped in its soft caress,
here she knows her worth.

Releasing a guttural howl into the sky,
she sings out her song.
A lilting animals cry.
That’s not unheard for long.

Moonlight spreads its wing,
bathing the sea below.
It’s here he listens to her sing.
invisible to the midnight glow.

Biding his time along the ocean floor,
He waits to claim her his forevermore.
