One day you will go for a walk.
A walk in the woods.
You’ll take a path you’ve never taken before.
It will be quiet
It will be still
The only sound the crunch of leaves beneath your feet
After a while somthing will catch your eye.
Somthing bright in a clearing.
Peeking through a pile of firey folage.
Something white.
There, there you will find me.
Sunbleached beneath the leaves.
Author’s Note:
Really getting into the spooky feeling this year! I long to deck out the house with skeletons and pumpkins. But, for the sake of my husband, I’ll settle for spooke poetry and fall scented candles.
