Pain eats away at her middle.

Digging in with a voracious appetite,

a hunger unlike anything she’s known.

Her stomach bulges and writhes,

a tremulous dance.

Claws graze just below the surface.

Scratching their way up,

gouging words beneath the skin.

Glowing behind her liquid gaze,

ember coals emanate a burgundy light.

Closer she looks at the glass,

brighter the phosphorescence spark gleams.

All-consuming it blazes outward.

Vehement and vial it pours from her mouth.

Obsidian tar staining porcelain.

Pain eats away at her middle.

Digging in with a voracious appetite,

a hunger unlike anything she’s known.
