It’s the eyes
The eyes drew me in
Overthrew my senses
One glance
I’m ensnared
Barely breathing
Hardly moving
All the while
She sways
In the moonlight
In the dark
Between the trees
Between the stones
Her feet bare
Making no sound
Her skin glowing
Hair flaming about her
And her eyes
Her eyes
Black as oil
Starring into me
Boiling into me
Leaving her mark
And I know
No water will quench this thirst
No food will fill this void
Nothing will suffice
Until I join her
Dancing in the moonlight
It’s in the eyes
In her eyes
